Is my data safe? Can TheraLog read my session notes?

No. Your session notes are encrypted on your device using AES-256-GCM with a key derived from your personal PIN. We store only encrypted ciphertext — not the keys. We have no technical ability to read your clients' notes.

Do I need internet to use TheraLog?

No. TheraLog is offline-first. Notes are saved locally in your browser and sync to the cloud when you're back online. Load-shedding and poor connectivity will never interrupt your work.

What happens after my 30-day free trial?

No credit card is required to start your trial. At the end of 30 days you can choose a plan and add your payment details. Cancel any time before then — no charge, no questions asked.

Is TheraLog HPCSA compliant?

TheraLog is designed to support your HPCSA record-keeping obligations — structured note templates, audit logs, and data retention controls. However, you remain the Responsible Party for your clinical and legal compliance. TheraLog is a tool to help you meet those obligations, not a substitute for professional judgement.

What AI features are included?

Both plans include AI-assisted note writing using therapy-specific templates (SOAP, CBT, DBT, Trauma-Informed, Safety Plans, and more), voice dictation, and automatic risk flagging for suicidal ideation and self-harm language. Notes and letters can be written in English, Afrikaans, or any of South Africa's 11 official languages. The Paperless plan also includes session recording with AI transcription — record a session and have it automatically converted into a structured clinical note.

What does the Paperless add-on include?

The Paperless plan includes everything in Basic, plus secure document storage, digital consent forms, AI-assisted referral letters with your practice letterhead, client invoicing with branded PDF invoices, and session recording with AI transcription.

Can I import my existing patient files and notes?

You can create client records and start new notes immediately. If you need to migrate structured existing data, contact support@theralog.co.za and we'll work out an import plan with you.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yes. Cancel any time from your account settings. Your access continues until the end of your billing period. We don't lock you in or charge cancellation fees.
